In the previous article of the blog we talked about the great winners of the last edition of the Michelin Guide. The main attraction of the annual Michelin Guide gala is undoubtedly the restaurants that receive industry recognition in the form of one or more Michelin Stars, the emblem of excellence of this renowned institution. However, these recognitions are not the only awards presented at the Michelin Guide gala.

In this year's edition, the green stars have been released, an award that seeks to celebrate and recognize those restaurants that are pioneers in the use of sustainable resources. In addition, since 1955, the Bib Gourmand awards have been distributed, a distinction for restaurants that have an interesting gastronomic proposal with an excellent quality-price ratio, whose two-course menu and dessert does not exceed 35 euros per person.

The peninsula has a total of 300 restaurants that have been awarded this distinction, 53 of which are new additions: 47 Spanish restaurants, 5 located in neighbouring Portugal and 1 Andorran restaurant. The autonomous communities of Catalonia and Galicia stand out, with 10 and 6 award-winning restaurants, respectively.

In the following list you can find the restaurants that have received the Bib Gourmand badge in this edition. You can see the complete list of Spanish Bib Gourmand restaurants on the Michelin Guide website.

All restaurants with the Bib Gourmand logo cannot be candidates for the Michelin Star, but they can still offer their guests a culinary experience approved by the Michelin Guide.

The list below includes a wide range of gastronomic proposals for all types of palates, with all these restaurants, as a starting point, aiming to offer their guests an affordable "Haute cuisine", without having to give up the excellence and quality of their menus.
