The new StreetXO restaurant in Dubai

Having just celebrated the Best Chef Awards 2019, renowned chef Dabiz Muñoz confirmed the opening of his new StreetXO restaurant in Dubai, scheduled for November 2020, during the interviews prior to the handing over of the prizes.

Having opened DiverXO, StreetXO Madrid and StreetXO London, the chef is once again fulfilling his dream of international expansion. Although he has given hardly any details of the features of this new restaurant, the chef has assured us that the local idea and cuisine will be almost the same as at his other existing StreetXO restaurants in Madrid and London. As a substantial change in relation to the new menu, Muñoz will not be using any meat from pigs.

Career in gastronomy

During his career as a chef, Dabiz Muñoz has worked in various successful restaurants all over the world. Amongst these, the restaurant Viridiana in Madrid stands out, where he got the chance to work with chef Abraham García, from whom he learnt the basics of the fusion cuisine concept.

He also worked in renowned London restaurant Hakkasan, which specialises in Asian cuisine. At that time, the restaurant's staff consisted exclusively of Chinese chefs and his incorporation into the restaurant was almost impossible, but he started working as a pastry chef and, as a result of his talent and perseverance, managed to join the Chinese staff as a chef.

In 2007, the chef opened his first DiverXO restaurant in the Tetuán neighbourhood of Madrid. The chef put in an enormous effort, investing his savings in the business and opting for a radical, never-before-seen cuisine, with a unique, very creative concept, with new twists and fresh, unique, attractive cuisine that is as impressive now as the day it opened.

Its success was evident, and allowed him to move his small restaurant to the exclusive NH Collection Eurobuilding Hotel. The chef currently has three Michelin stars.

In 2012, Dabiz Muñoz opened his second restaurant, StreetXO Madrid, with a more casual, daring and fun gastronomic offer, with its own personality thanks to interior designer Rosa Violán.

Finally, in 2016, the chef opened the London branch, StreetXO London, in the Mayfair area, with the same energy as StreetXO Madrid.
