The 17th edition of the "Gastronomy Fair of Vico Equense", a gastronomy gala started by renowned chef Vicenza and organised by chef Gennaro Esposito (restaurant Torre Sacarino), where each year, hundreds of chefs come together to share culinary knowledge and experiment with new flavours, took place in Vico Equense in Italy on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of June.

The event turned the Italian city into an open air kitchen: the venues, gardens and shops were happy to open their doors to receive a multitude of fans and spectators who came together to taste the dishes freshly prepared by the chefs.

The event consisted not only of a gastronomy fair but also a charity event, as the thousands of euros raised by the festival were donated entirely to charity and non-profit organisations dedicated to social aspects.

The first day started with "Food Food", which attracted enthusiasts, tourists and spectators to the streets of Vico Equense, eager to try the creations of the talented chefs. Amongst the dishes prepared by the chefs were exceptional pizzas, gourmet sandwiches and other exquisite dishes. They decorated the streets, squares and shops of the old town.

Under the name of "Moon for breakfast", in the Moon Valley hotel in Seiano, a group of around twenty chefs and gastronomy producers met with an itinerary reserved for experts of the sector. Some of the chefs who attended were Bruno Barbieri (Masterchef/Consultant Judge), Antonino Cannavacciulo (Villa Crespi**), Nino Di Costanzo (Casa Danì **) and Pino Cuttaia (La Madia **), who prepared a dinner for 200 guests: organic chicken from Verona, truffles from Tuscia, Pollino runner beans, etc.

The fair in Vico came to a close on the 4th of June in the Marina D'Aequa di Seiano with Il Cammino di Seiano, along the promenade. This was the location of the "Dessert storm", an impressive display of desserts prepared by over 50 pastry chefs from amongst the best of the Italian restaurant sector.
